Artist-In-Residency Opportunity for Movement Artists
We are thrilled to present the Local Motion Project Artist-In-Residence Program. This is open to any and all movement artists local to the DMV at any stage in their career. Selected movement artists will be supported with free rehearsal space at our Alexandria location with opportunities for community engagement. Please submit a completed application for the SUMMER residency (July-September) and 2 work samples by June 10, 2022.

How does LMP define ‘movement artist’?
— Dance, Physical Theatre, Aerial, Film and everything in-between
What type of video sample can I provide?
— Performance, Rehearsal footage, and/or Phone video
What does the residency include?
— 6 hours/week of studio space (1000 sq. ft. with padded wood flooring, a Marley floor covering, equipped with 1 mirror wall, ballet barre, and sound system.) Availability is based around LMP Programing schedule.

— Opportunities for work-in-progress showings
