Dance Loft on 14 presents Moveius Contemporary Ballet’s production of AZUL

Azul is a one-act, site-specific performance that invites audience members to journey alongside dancers, live musicians, and actors through Dance Loft’s studios to watch a dramatic love-story story unfold. Inspired by Gabriel García Márquez’s novel “Ojos de perro azul” (Eyes of a blue dog), Ballet Master Alvaro Palau’s innovative choreography merges the art forms of both contemporary ballet and theater. The storyline follows a couple who only meet in their dreams, rewriting the meaning of love as a desire to not be alone. For this innovative project, Moveius Contemporary Ballet is collaborating with Teatro La Bolsa, who works in both Spanish and English.
