Dance to the music from your favorite musicals while learning Broadway’s unique form of jazz dance. Musicals from Westside Story to Hamilton, Chicago to Rent draw on jazz dance for their choreography. Broadway jazz is a unique, high-energy blend of ballet, modern, and jazz and is known for exaggerated movements and storytelling. Learn the warmups jazz dancers use to stay fit ad flexible. Practice the dance steps, performance techniques, and body alignment essential to Broadway jazz dance. Explore the Luigi Technique and its philosophy of “never stop moving.” Open to students of all levels.
