Experience the dances of the African diaspora! Dance in Cuban and Brazilian styles while gaining a deeper appreciation of their meaning and history. Explore how the rhythms of West Africa traveled to Cuba, Brazil, and the Black American Church, dancing through the history of Mambo, Rumba, Salsa, and Samba. Learn the roots of these dances and the changes they underwent in the Americas. Open to students of all levels.
