Stephanie is the founder and Chief Analyst for Stephanie Alex Arts, LLC, a business catered to performing arts organizations which helps them make decision points for improving attendance, enrollment and profitability. She began the business in June of 2014 with the goal of helping both arts organizations and the arts at large.
Stephanie has been a dancer for 20 years, beginning in jazz and hip-hop at home in Southern Alabama. Since then she has added ballet, tap, modern, lyrical, and flamenco to her repertory, skills expanded through dancing at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She began teaching in the Washington, DC area in the fall of 2009, teaching dance, ballet and sports skills to students age 18 months to 18 years.
Stephanie has performed in many different shows, from recitals during grade school, dance groups in college, and performance companies since. In addition to dancing she has acted as theater House Manager, Stage Manager, Light board Operator and tech. Her vision is to see DC have a strong dance community and a leader in the arts nationwide.
