Seeking Contemporary Dancers (Age 18+) of all genders, backgrounds, and abilities

Imagination Stage seeks strong contemporary dancers to perform in their holiday production of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, directed by Janet Stanford and choreographed by David Palmer of Rochester City Ballet. Ballet training a plus, as well as any partnering skills. This production will be a remount of Imagination Stage’s Helen Hayes award-winning version of the C. S. Lewis classic, and will feature dancers, singer/actors, and a life-sized puppet of Aslan the Lion.

Auditions will be scheduled by appointment, and will be held at Imagination Stage on March 16th, from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Auditions will include a class, followed by combinations and partnering exercises. The music director of the project will then teach auditioners a short cut of a song to sing.

TYA Tier I Actors Equity Association weekly contracts and Non-Union contracts will be available for this production. This is a paid opportunity.
