Dance Place, a nationally recognized cultural arts center in Washington, DC, seeks a Development Manager specializing in grant writing. This is a 40 hour per week, salaried, year-round position with benefits. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of non-profit arts grant writing experience and embrace Dance Place’s mission to build a community of artists, audiences and students through high quality performances, commissions, training and educational programs and our commitment to enriching the field of dance locally, nationally and internationally. The Development Manager will be responsible for all grant writing and reporting and will work in collaboration with the development team, including the Executive Artistic Director, Individual Giving Associate and interns, in carrying out the organization’s unified development plan. They will collaborate with the development team on special initiatives and working with the Individual Giving Associate on special events and appeals. They will also work closely with the Financial Director and the Executive Artistic Director in grants oversight and Dance Place’s financial health and long-range financial planning.
