Chamber Dance Project
Chamber Dance Project is seeking one male and one female Ballet dancer. Chamber Dance Project is professional ballet dancers with significant experience in and commitment to new and contemporary work. Need one male dancer 5’9″ or taller and one female dancer 5’6″ or under.
Chamber Dance Project is committed to new and contemporary works performed with live music by our string quartet and as well as, for this season, a jazz trio. We are a project-based company based in Washington, DC, hiring ballet dancers in their layoff periods.
We have some flexibility in scheduling work weeks with individual dancers dependent on casting.
Our repertoire includes works by Alejandro Cerrudo, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Jorge Amarante, Jennifer Archibald, company dancer Andile Ndlovu, and Artistic Director Diane Coburn Bruning. Our current dancers come from Boston Ballet, BalletMet, Washington Ballet, and Milwaukee Ballet.
We are offering up to two weeks of work in January 2019 for the creation of a new ballet with Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, a possible spring week tba and 3 weeks of rehearsal and performances in the month of June with possible extension into July. We are looking to begin touring in 2019-2020.
