The Laban/Bartenieff Movement System (LBMS) offers a framework for understanding patterns in movement. Deepen your embodied awareness! Improve your own movement efficiency and enhance your expressive abilities; and use skilled observation to support clarity in communicating and interacting with others.

• Morning movement workshops, taught by LBMS master teachers, will cover the basics of current LBMS theory to provide a review for Certified Movement Analysts and an introduction for curious movers new to the work.
Come dressed to move!

• Afternoon panel discussions with Movement Analysts from the DC/MD/VA region will offer a glimpse of the many applications of LBMS in various realms, including the arts, education, sports, somatic practices and more.
