Position Description & Qualifications:
The Collective, Baltimore’s hub for professional dancers and choreographers, seeks a diverse body of dancers for the 2016-2017 performance season. Candidates must have strong roots in modern dance technique and be willing to work in a collaborative environment. Preference is given to candidates who can demonstrate and express their artistic potential. Seeking dancers with varying perspectives and experiences. Full-time member and apprenticeship positions are available.
The Collective holds bi-weekly dance classes year round and generally performs once per month. Additionally, company members have opportunities to present their own work, participate in community-based projects, and collaborate with other artists/arts organizations.

The Bryn Mawr School — Main Dance Studio, 109 West Melrose Ave, Baltimore, MD 21210 Ample free parking available on campus.
Rehearsals and Start Date:
Rehearsals are Tuesdays (6:30PM-9:30PM) and Sundays (10AM-2:30PM) at The Bryn Mawr School. Dancers cast for the 2016-2017 performance season will work with the co-directors of The Collective to set a start date in June/July 2017.
The Collective offers performance stipends. Company members also receive 2 complementary classes per week.

Founded in 1999, The Collective houses professional dancers and choreographers in the Baltimore region. Under the co-direction of Alyson Jacques and Sonia Synkowski, The Collective works as a collaborative ensemble in order to further dance as an art form, provide opportunities for artists to collaborate and present work, and to promote dance in Baltimore and the surrounding region.
