Dance/USA Membership Fellowship
Currently accepting applications; deadline is Tuesday, February 17 @ 5:00 PM (ET)
Dance/USA, the national service organization for professional dance, sustains and advances professional dance by addressing the needs, concerns, and interests of artists, administrators, and organizations. In 2012, the organization announced its first-ever Fellowship Program.
Committed to leadership development in the professional field of dance, and to honoring, nurturing, and advancing dance through the lens of diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, Dance/USA seeks a 2015 Fellow to work in the organization’s Membership Department.
Dance/USA operates at the center of the national dance field providing dance-related research and information, professional development, advocacy, and service so that members may gain new insights, perspective, and knowledge on their works as dance professionals. Dance/USA’s membership currently consists of roughly 460 aerial, ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, culturally specific, traditional and tap companies, dance service and presenting organizations, artist managers, individuals, and other organizations nationally and internationally.
This opportunity will connect the Fellow to the national dance community, raise his/her awareness of dance in America and field-wide trends, and provide him/her with practical work experience. This Fellowship is geared toward early career arts administrators who are motivated, curious, possess a strong work ethic, and have a special interest in dance.

As the Membership Fellow you will also receive a stipend of approximately $6000 to be evenly divided over the course of your Fellowship (projected Fellowship dates are: March 2, 2015 to September 11, 2015).
