Afromoda Dance Theater seeks African/Modern dancers for the 2014 season!
Join Afromoda Dance Theater’s company members, and move to the invigorating rhythm of live drums while learning repertoire from AMDT’s unique collection of Afro-Modern choreography. AMDT offers a highly dynamic and physically engaging movement vocabulary while encouraging the passion and expression of the spirit within. The rhythms and intricate patterns of West African technique are molded with the dynamic shape and flow of Modern and Ballet.
We are looking for dancers with experience in African and Modern styles, but we welcome all dancers who are interested in training and performing in the Washington, D.C. area. Please submit a headshot and resume, and the Artistic Directors will contact you for an interview: dwajidali.
Rehearsals are every Saturday 4:00-7:00pm at Joy of Motion Dance Center, Atlas. Rehearsals are unpaid, but performance stipends are available.
