Contradiction danceBrookland based dance company, Contradiction Dance will be performing “Walk a Mile” at the Anacostia Arts CenterMarch 14-23rd. The show is described as a

“dance-based theatre experience about shoes and the creatures that wear them. Walk a mile in their shoes…

Meet a mother training daily for the zombie apocalypse, a museum project manager captivated by function over form, an entrepreneur trying to maintain her femininity in a man’s world, a victorian prude stripper and the kid who guides them all.”

Sounds interesting! Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. You can buy them here. There is also a sweet deal from Lyft that offers patrons $20 in driving credit when they purchase tickets. Kelly King, a Brooklander, and the Founder and Artistic Director of Contradiction Dance told us “It’s a new venue for us, and I’d like to help get patrons not just to the show, but across the river to see what’s happening over there.” We wish this local business the best of luck!
