Jazz and Hip Hop Back-to-School Intensive with Nikki Gambhir (Grades 6th-12th)

School's back in, so let's get movin! This is a perfect time to get prepared and in gear for your classes, companies, and dance teams. Brush up on your technique, work on learning choreography, and refresh your skills in this exclusive workshop! Each day class will consist of a full jazz warmup, jazz choreography (with special attention to leaps and turns!) and hip hop skills and technique followed by hip hop choreography. Take one or all four days!
Level: Some experience necessary in either Jazz or Hip Hop technique required
$100.00 Full Intensive(4 days); $30 Single Day

Workshop with José Ruiz Subauste: Eureka Dance Festival International Guest Artist
Experience and explore dance investigation approaches with Peruvian Choreographer, Dancer, and Actor José Ruiz Subauste. During this workshop José will focus on concepts of Being, Flying Low and using the Body as a Landscape. Class is open to adult dancers/movers of all levels ages 18 + up.

Jane Franklin Dance celebrates movement and makes dance accessible to a wide range of audiences through public performances, community projects, educational outreach, and collaborations with artists from other disciplines.  Based in Northern Virginia since 1997, Jane Franklin Dance presents polished, nuanced works that combine dance, theater and humor.   Dance workshops are implemented year round for children, seniors, or specific populations.  The choreography often incorporates community members with the professional dancers.   Artists of different disciplines, from poets to musicians to sculptors, are brought in as collaborators.  Photo by Ray Gniewek.
